FALL/WINTER CLASSES STARTING!

Tai Chi – Mondays 9:30am  Thursdays at 7pm  Instructor: Lynn and Joe Goldovitz     Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese exercise art form. Its practitioners enjoy significant physical benefits such as flexibility, better balance and increased immune systems, not to mention the stress relief Tai Chi promotes! Tai Chi can be done by almost anyone and can even be done in a sitting position if necessary. It requires no special equipment, making it easy to practice. It is low impact exercise and puts minimal stress on muscles and joints, making it generally safe for all ages and fitness levels. Wear loose clothing and be prepared to have some fun. Cost: $10/per class Ongoing

Meditation – Tuesdays 11 – 12:30pm or 2 – 3:30pm  Instructor: Jennifer Soares  Are you ready to: Awaken the wonders of your life? Explore the deepest meanings of purpose and completion? Open up to your full potential? Meditation will balance your emotional centers reduce your anxiety, depression and mood swings and deliver deep inner peace. Meditation will increase mental stamina, improve your memory, focus, and multi-tasking abilities and allow you to handle tasks more efficiency. Cost: $100 for 4 sessions. Payable in advance. Yoga – Tuesdays 10 – 11am   Instructor: Darlene Taylor  Vinyasa Yoga for beginner-intermediate. Vinyasa is also called flow yoga, a process of moving from one pose into the next. It is about learning your body, and all its strengths and weaknesses. Yoga is about bringing balance to the body, the breathe, the mind and the spirit all together. A regular practice will build strength, tone your muscles, reduce stress, and improve your mental and physical well-being. Cost: $10/m   $12/nm   Ongoing

Improv Class –  Tuesdays 4 – 5pm  Instructor: Jason Newkirk  Join Jason in an Improvisational theater class. Improv involves imagination and creativity and is usually unplanned and unscripted. Jason will teach the basics of improv and the class will end with a performance. All ages welcome. Cost: $10/m  $13/nm  Starting September 19.

Acrylic Painting – Tuesdays 4 – 6pm  Instructor: Sharon Kusha Join artist Sharon Kusha in an acrylic and drawing class. Sharon is an experienced acrylic teacher that will give you a good introduction to the unique qualities of today’s medium, acrylic and the basic drawing steps. Open Studio Time – Wednesdays  10 – 12pm  Instructor: Open Bring your brushes, paints, jewelry, yarn, canvas, pencils and any type of media you wish. Come and converse, laugh and spend time doing something you love! Cost: $5      Starting September 20

Wine, Chocolate, & Clay Therapy – Wednesdays (SOLD OUT, must call for future classes)  Instructor: Helene Leininger      Whether you’re an Artist, Artist want-to-be, or just NEED Therapy…this class is for you! In this class you will learn basic ceramic hand building and surface decoration techniques. Clay, glaze and firing costs are included in the fee. Bring your favorite bottle of wine, a glass and relax! Cost: $40 includes 2 classes.

Masterpiece Painting – Saturdays 10am – 12pm   Instructor: Sandra Wilson– Studio Art is not a structured painting class where everyone is subject to paint the same landscape or object. You are encouraged to bring your on photograph, sketch, or still life to paint in either oil or acrylic. You will discover your own technique and style under the watchful eye and constructive critique of Sandra Wilson. Bring your 16 x 20 canvas, paint of choice, pallet, brushes, odorless brush cleaner and rags.  6-Week Session Cost $90/m  $108/nm Times vary. Instructor must be informed of students PRIOR to class.

Sweating with Helen – Certain Saturdays 10am – 11am   Join Helen Fisher with “Chair Aerobics” an d”Toning.” These classes are designed to improve your strength, flexibitiliy, balance, endurance, agility and coordination. They are about having fun while exercising and listening to music, old and new. Personal interaction helps bring out confidence and that’s when the magic begins!  Cost: $5      September 9 and 30
