New!!! Night Time Farmers' Market - October 7th

Join us for the very first of our monthly 1st Thursdays at GCA, an evening Farmers' Market. Come stroll around Gateway Center from 5-9pm, shopping for items such as veggies, plants, food, and art. Local restaurants are being invited to share samples to entice you. Music and soft lighting will enhance the experience and playing in the park

Our organization offers to those in the community who

have an interest in restoring World War II aircraft to

flying condition (not just static display), perpetuating

the memory of the men and women who built,

serviced and flew them, sponsoring and participating in air shows and providing museums for the retention and dissemination of aviation information through books, manuals, CDs and DVDs.

The Florida Wing shares its hangar at the DeLand

Airport with the Bob Robbins Memorial Library and

Museum. The Library contains books, movies,

pictures, uniforms and other memorabilia donated by

Bob Robbins. Mr. Robbins was a civilian aeronautical

engineer who worked for the Boeing Corporation to

eliminate the flight problems with the B-29 bomber

and as a test pilot for the B-47 bomber.

Mr. Art Harriman will present an audio-visual program about the Commemorative Air Force and the Wing's restoration efforts of the Grumman TBM "Avenger" torpedo bomber.

There will be a question and answer session afterwards.
